5 Ways to Double Your Sales Quickly

Jay Abraham, noted marketing expert, explains there are only three ways to increase your sales:

  • Increase the number of customers
  • Increase the size of each order
  • Increase the frequency of orders

The online sales process lends itself to an adaptation of this formula. If you are using pay-per-click advertising to drive traffic to your one-page sales site, there are five elements that come into play:

  1. impressions - the number of people seeing your pay-per-click ad
  2. ad click-thru rate - the percentage of people who see the ad and click on it
  3. optin rate - the number of people arriving at your landing page who "join" your list. They are then redirected to your sales page.
  4. conversion rate - the number of people who purchase divided by the number of people who see your sales letter
  5. backend revenue - the amount you earn from selling products after the sale or optin. While it doesn't show in the formula, it definitely impacts your bottom line!

If you increase any one of these five elements, you will increase your sales.

Now here are three ways you can use this information:

  1. Determine your baseline numbers for each factor
  2. Make changes to each element - in the order listed
  3. Track your changes weekly and make adjustments quickly

Regardless of your current level of sales, you can easily double by just doubling ONE element in the formula. But when you work on all of them, you quickly make exponential changes.
